各位尊敬的家長，你們好！
我們籌備多時的家長會尚有兩周將會舉行，希望一切順利！
- 請各位家長每天要留意政府當局有關倫敦London的Lockdown情況。
- 請同時留意本校的特別消息。若一切順利，本校網頁不會有重復的消息登載，請諒！
- 現請留意10月17日（星期六）的重要事項：屆時（西中心）舉行家長會的中心大門是關上的，下午1時正該中心有職員開門及給予指示，本校有一位義工家長何醫生（Dr Ho）是NHS注冊醫生，負責協助，每位家長將會被檢測體溫，只需一秒鐘，請千萬戴口罩，謝謝合作！
- 五出五入（FIVE OUT & FIVE IN）即五位家長領完書本離開西中心後，另五位家長才可以進入中心。請排隊及自動保持距離。有什麼特別情況需要特別協助，請敲門求助！
- 領取課本需知：一定要核對清楚才離開西中心，否則課本出門後任何理由本校一概不會替換或退款。有言在先，以免爭論。
- 有大量寫字方格本提供，幼一、幼二、幼三用的大方格粉紅色簿面；一年級至四年級用中方格藍色簿面。除了幼兒課本外，另有一年、二年、三年級課本。
- 有精美禮物送給每個家庭的小朋友，請記緊問負責派送的老師，在領書的時候一並派送的。
- 中文字典：餘下10本很高水準的繁體字附簡體及詳細解析的中華字典，很珍貴的，很適合在家輔導孩子幫助你的，價錢只收市場價格的1/3，因數量不多，是先到先得，請諒！
- 請索取一份參加『兒童樂園讀書會』的參加表格，全年會費£10，該日不用支付，要等到第一次舉辦『讀書會』時候才繳交，謝謝！
- 正名：『兒童樂園讀書會』英文名字由今期開始正式使用『Greenwich Chinese Community School Children Club』，簡稱『GCCS Children Club』，主力是補充網課的不足。因網課不夠時間同時進行例如國畫、毛筆字、功夫、唱中國歌、跳中國舞蹈等等活動，但讀書會是可以進行的，值得你的孩子參加。

School Letter
Dear Parents,
The parent’s meeting we have been preparing for a long time will be held in two weeks. Hope everything goes well!
- School asks parents to pay special attention to the authorities’ news regarding the Lockdown situation in London area every day.
- School will keep updating news on our webpage. Please visit it frequently.
- Important information for our meeting on October 17th (Saturday): the community centre will be only open at 1pm. When centre staff open the door, they will give us instructions. School will also assign Dr Ho – volunteer – to assist at the premises. Every parent will be checked for body temperature, which only takes one second. And, please wear a mask. Thank you for your cooperation!
- Rule of FIVE OUT & FIVE IN: this means that we can only allow five parents to enter the centre at the same time. Please line up and keep distance outside the centre. If you require special assistance, please knock on the door for help!
- What you need to know about textbook collection: You must check them carefully before leaving the community Centre. School will not replace or refund textbooks for any reason.
- Two types of Chinese Grid workbook (‘Tiangeben’) for sale: large pink square boxes for infant students and medium blue square boxes for primary students.
- We also prepared some presents for children. They will be given away together with your textbooks.
- Chinese dictionaries: we only have 10 copies of traditional Chinese dictionaries, that come with simplified Chinese characters and detailed explanations. They are very suitable for tutoring children at home. The price is only 1/3 of the market price.
- Please take a copy of a registration form for “GCCS Children’s Club” (previous called “Children’s Fun Reading Club). Annual membership fee is £10 which will be paid until the first “Reading Club”.
- The “Children’s Fun Reading Club” will officially be named as “Greenwich Chinese Community School Children’s Club”, “GCCS Children’s Club” from now on. The main purpose is to help enrich online classes. Due to time constraints, online classes can only concentrate on textbooks’ contents. The club will promote more Chinese cultural related activities, such as traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy, kung fu, Chinese folk songs and dances, etc… The club will greatly increase your child’s interests in learning Chinese, and it is worthy of participation.
- There is a cafe in the basement of the community Centre. All are welcome.
